Resum

This phraseological set is the result of the study of three extensive documents relating to local administration in three villages in the Horta- Albufera. This work classifies phrases regarding the division of time and phrases or expressions describing local life. All the possibilities afforded by the documents consulted have been grouped together: on the one hand, temporal references: a selection of formulae to differentiate periods of time, relative locutions, etc; and on the other hand, the formulae dealt with have been classified thematically: judicial, describing relations between local powers, commercial and mercantile activities, habits and customs, etc. Although not the whole phraseological set listed here can cover the present needs of administrative language, it is necessary to be thoroughly acquainted with some fields of this type of language in the 17th century in order to formulate proposals for the contemporary register. It is of the utmost importance that those formulae that can be accepted adapt themselves to the demands of present-day administrative language.
